WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 31, 2026) – NeighborWorks® America this week announced 75 new graduates representing 35 network community development nonprofits from the organization’s Excellence in Governance Program. The 18-month program, which included more than 60 hours in governance training, is designed for board members, chief executives and board support staff who are ready to sharpen their leadership skills, strengthen their governance strategies and experiment with promising practices.

NeighborWorks® America, Oweesta Corporation and National American Indian Housing Council to host Housing Our Relatives: Collaborative Solutions for Native Communities
Three organizations with national reach, NeighborWorks® America, Oweesta Corporation and National American Indian Housing Council, have joined together to host a summit to cover the spectrum of Native housing, digging into challenges and, most of all, solutions. The summit, to be held May 7-8 at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage, Alaska, brings together Tribes and Tribal housing programs, Urban Indian housing programs, lenders, community development financial institutions, funders, federal and state government agencies, nonprofits and more to strategically leverage and align resources to support the self-determined, collective housing visions created by Native communities.

NeighborWorks® America Invests Nearly $80 Million in Flexible Impact Grants to Advance Proven Housing Solutions Nationwide

WASHINGTON, D.C. — October 28, 2025 — A new national survey from NeighborWorks® America, Bridging the Missing Middle: What Americans Say About Housing and Affordability, reveals that people across the United States share common priorities when it comes to housing: affordability, safety, and access to essential services. The findings also show growing public openness to housing types that are often overlooked, such as duplexes, townhomes, tiny homes and accessory dwelling units (ADUs), which can help fill the gap between single-family homes and large apartment buildings.
NeighborWorks® America Awards Final 2025 Grants, Including $1.3 Million for Disaster Response Grants Bringing the Total Fiscal Year 2025 Relief Investment To $2.2 Million
Washington, D.C., September 25, 2025 – NeighborWorks® America announced its final round of fiscal year 2025 grants, awarding millions to strengthen communities through affordable housing, financial stability, and disaster recovery. This round includes $1.3 million in disaster recovery funding, supporting communities in states recently impacted by wildfires, flooding, hurricanes and other natural disasters and bringing the total recovery investment to $2.2 million dollars for the 2025 fiscal year. Over the course of the year, grants were awarded to 28 organizations across 15 states.
NeighborWorks® America and Asian Community Development Corp. Celebrate Chartering and Groundbreaking in Boston’s Chinatown
Washington, D.C. and Boston – NeighborWorks® America and Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC) announced ACDC’s official membership in the NeighborWorks network during a special chartering ceremony and groundbreaking held Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Boston’s Chinatown. The event marked the last of five new organizations to join the NeighborWorks network in 2025.
