ED245 Community Wealth Building: An Introduction
This two-day, hands-on course introduces Community Wealth Building (CWB) as a transformative model for economic development. Participants will explore the conceptual foundations of CWB, analyze the challenges of wealth inequality and extraction, and learn how to rewire local economies for inclusion and resilience. Through real-world case studies, interactive workshops, and a site visit, you’ll gain practical skills in action planning, stakeholder engagement, and strategy development. The course covers the five pillars of CWB, the role of anchor institutions, and connections to shared equity and asset building. Leave equipped to advance CWB in your organization and community.
