CP195 The Essentials of Healthy Homes Practitioners

This course provides a holistic approach to understanding and improving the health and safety of residential environments. Participants will learn to identify root causes of health problems in the home, link them to the seven principles of healthy housing, and apply practical strategies for remediation. Topics include moisture control, pest management, ventilation, contaminant reduction, and injury prevention. Through interactive exercises, you’ll develop skills to assess housing conditions, communicate with residents, and collaborate with community partners. By the end, you’ll be equipped to promote healthy homes, support at-risk populations, and foster community-wide improvements in housing quality and resident well-being.
